Today marked another momentous occasion for Glasgow’s Golden Generation as we opened our second Charity Shop in the Shawlands area of the city. Michelle McManus popped along to add some celebrity flair for the day and Chairman Mike Riddell, CEO Morag McIntosh and former Board Member James Turnbull joined an array of guests as Michelle and shop manager Lex Robertson cut the ribbon to formally mark the shop opening.
Michelle, commenting on the shop opening said, ” It’s a phenomenal addition to Shawlands shopping and i wish the charity every success with this new venture.” while Morag enthused, ” I’m delighted to open a second charity shop after the success of our sister shop in Partick, these vital funds will make a huge difference to funding a range of services for the elderly in Glasgow and we are delighted with the contribution and donations from the generous local community”.
