On behalf of Glasgow’s Golden Generation, thank you to all the trainees from SP Energy Networks who have been volunteering throughout our Covid-19 campaign. The trainees worked alongside our key workers and volunteers across our 3 centres, packing and delivering food/essentials packages to the doors of older adults in Glasgow.

“Everyone at GGG wishes the trainees all the best in their placements, careers and future endeavours.
The trainees’ help has been greatly appreciated over the past few months through challenging times.
With their support, GGG has so far delivered 6,500 packages to older adults in the city, covering 9,000 miles around Glasgow and made 8000 befriending and benefits advice calls.”
Although the trainees have now returned to their placements, GGG is continuing to support older adults in the city. The delivery campaign will continue for as long as it is needed by older adults in Glasgow.
